Knitter, Knitting.

I finally got my Hogwarts letter (which is really a hand embroidered bag!)

These sure took me long enough to make. Plenty of tears were cried over making the envelope shape. As well as adding the snaps. The smaller of the two is my first try… it didn’t go so well.

The second and larger one turned out lovely. Since it was bigger the embroidery was much easier.

Now if only I actually had real Hogwarts letters to put in these!

Hey, so if you didn’t know, I am guest blogging on my sisters blog, Home Hearted.  My first actual post is now up! It is all about knitting basics. Feel free to check it out :)

"I’m Catbug!"

My husband loves Catbug and he really wanted a plush version of him. So, I found this great tutorial on deviantART for making one!  I used felt and hand sewed the whole thing.  It is not very big. The first two photos shows my first attempt.  It isn’t well stuffed and the embroidery is off. The second photo shows my second attempt. It was a commission for a friend (who later decided he didn’t want it, lame)  It came out a bit better.  Though my embroidery still needs some work :)

The last picture is of my “catbug family”. The tiny little guy was my try at making my own catbug before I found the tutorial. As you can see, I am not proficient in making stuffed animals.

If you don’t know Catbug is a character from Cartoon Hangover’s show Bravest Warriors.  It’s on Youtube, you should check it out, because it is amazing.

I just want to say thank you to all of my followers.  I have reached over 200 now.  I am thrilled that all of you are interested in the things that I make.  It is a huge encouragement to me.

As a little present, here is a free pattern I just posted on Ravelry!

Annie Larson’s All Knitwear is one of my greatest inspirations. I adore the colors and designs. Seeing these pieces helps me to break away from the monotone ideas in my brain.

Most recent work, a pair of navy tweed fingerless gloves.
I have been lacking some serious inspiration when it comes to knitting recently.
Crossing my fingers in the hopes that an awesome new project will dawn on me.

Sunday afternoons a great.
I finally have a new purse/bag/clutch. It was my first attempt at sewing a zipper. All I need now is to figure out strap…

(Sorry the pictures are rather sad looking. It is very overcast… And my phone is not very good at editing)
