Sweet candy stripes!

I finished this little hat up in Maine. It was pretty fun to make.  Just a bunch of scrap yarn. It is so springy and stretchy.  I am so happy with how it turned out.

Spending this rainy, cold day in Maine, snuggled under a beaver skin blanket. Finished yet another set of ears… As well as enjoyed the beautiful handwoven shawl I got from a friend as a belated birthday gift. Cheers!

Enjoying the raw beauty of Swans Island, Maine. Rolled a ball of alpaca today.  I think I see some leg warmers in my future.

New things in the shop :) Just in time for halloween!

Been a bit busy… traveled home to beautiful Ohio for a few days.  Then heading up North to Maine.  So shout out to any Ohioians or Maine-stayers that follow me. I love being able to wear warm things again :)

P.S. The tip top beanie is back in the shop.

I made this mask a little while ago as a custom order for someone.  I made the nose in one go, and it turned out pretty well. I was very surprised. (also very disappointed that I never bothered to take decent pictures of it…)
Sorry, posts have been lacking.  The sun has been hiding all week, and I have a pile of things to photograph, and all I need is some sunshine!

A little b-day present I made for my hubby. I am not super talented at embroidery… But this poem is one of our favorites and it makes a lovely little wall hanging :)

Let’s talk about terrible projects.

Well… I wanted to have a second try at Purl Bee’s Wear Anywhere Tunic. The first one I made was too small (but looked super cute on me). And this time around I had a rotary cutter and a self-healing matt. Which I got for my birthday, and I was really excited to use it. (They work super great btw)

The sewing was a breeze.  Then I tried on my brand new tunic. Looked in the mirror and saw I was wearing a glorified hospital gown. Yippee.

Maybe it was the cheap fabric… or yet again the sizing.. but it looks so bad I couldn’t even take a picture of myself wearing it.

Once again seriously pissed that Purl Bee can’t show one picture of a model wearing their projects.  UGH.

I might be able to fix it and make it a little bit more flattering.  But still sad I actually spent money to make this… Has something like this ever happened to any of you?

I made a pretty decent cake for my birthday.

I am very proud of my baking skills right now. Only things it could have used was more frosting and more strawberries.

It is basic vanilla cake.  Here is the recipe I used: Ultimate Vanilla Cake

(I also should have taken nice pictures of it, instead of shitty pictures with my phone.)

A few snapshots of the cowls I have been working on. The yarn was originally used for some hats… But the hats didn’t turn out to well. Now they are comfy, warm cowls :) they are going to make awesome presents.

Sock time!
It took me forever Bow Knot Ankle Socks now has a nice updated, cute, free pattern to match.
Enjoy :)

Been chilling in Savannah this weekend. It is so lovely down here. Plus, the company is fresh.
Shout out to The Frayed Knot, and all the great artist that fill this city.
Peace ;)

First quilt… Ever. I clearly don’t know what I’m doing.
The cutting is from a wild passion flower that grows behind my apartment. It just started growing roots. I am very excited :)
